H2UpScale - BeBoP Workshop
On 12th November 2025, SINTEF and TNO, coordinators of the BeBoP Hydrogen and H2UpScale projects, jointly hosted a workshop bringing both initiatives together.
The hybrid workshop was 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗙’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗺, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆, providing an excellent environment to share progress and exchange ideas.
Both projects are driving innovation in 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆-𝗱𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
💡 𝗕𝗲𝗕𝗼𝗣 focuses on efficiency, durability, and cost reduction through advanced Balance of Plant (BoP) components
💡 𝗛𝟮𝗨𝗽𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 is scaling PEMFC architectures to power outputs above 250 kW for aviation, maritime, and long-haul transport.
During the workshop, partners presented the progress of each Work Package, sparking valuable discussions on shared challenges and complementary solutions. The session successfully identified 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, paving the way for joint advancements in BoP component development, system scalability, and sustainability.
H2UpScale II General Assembly
The 2nd General Assembly of EU Project H2UpScale was held on 15th and 16th October 2025 in the Wasserstoff Kompetenz Zentrum in Herten (Germany), hosted by Cummins Europe.
The status of the Work Packages within the Project was presented by the representatives of the leading Parties.
The meeting was a great opportunity for the participants to engage in lively technical discussions over the first Project outcomes and targeted approach for future developments.
